Atlantis Private Investigations is a California-licensed investigative firm based in Fresno. We work for attorneys, tribal governments, employers, and executives in matters where the answer has to hold up — in a courtroom, before a board, in front of an auditor, or under the questions of opposing counsel.

We investigate and we report.

That distinction is the whole firm. We do not speculate, we do not advocate, and we do not hand a client a theory dressed up as a conclusion. • Tribal government services — internal audits, oversight and compliance investigations, and Indian Country matters, conducted with an understanding of tribal sovereignty and jurisdictional complexity.

Who We Are

The firm was founded by Michael W. Braa, JD, an investigator and award-winning journalist who has spent three decades building factual records that survive challenge.

Vice President Carl Whitney is a Medal of Valor recipient who brings more than thirty years of law enforcement experience to the firm. He retired at the rank of lieutenant after leading homicide investigations, SWAT operations, and financial crimes casework.

Around them is a bench of forensic analysts, former law enforcement officers, and subject matter experts assigned to matters by what the matter actually needs.

We are selective about the cases we take. When we take yours, it gets our full attention.
